Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, based in Irvine, California, seeks a Medication Technician full-time for an Assisted Living community. This role supervises and assists in administering medications and provides direct personal care to residents, supporting activity participation and collaboration with staff.

Prior experience is not required—we will train. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, life insurance, 401(k) with match, and more. Must meet health and background checks.

Qualifications

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Completion of training/certification may be required based on state regulation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus
