Wesley Des Moines is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist II to oversee billing for our retirement community’s independent living, assisted living, and memory care services. You will manage statements, claims, AR, and resident accounts while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate financial records.

Ideal candidates have healthcare billing experience in senior living, knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, and proficiency with Point Click Care and EMR systems.

Formación

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of healthcare billing experience in senior living/long-term care.
• Proficient with billing software (Point Click Care) and EMR, MS Office.
• Ability to identify PHI and adhere to HIPAA and secure file transfer.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance billing; state regulations for WA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Certification in medical billing/coding preferred (e.g., CPB).
• Experience with Medicaid billing specific to Washington State.
• Familiar with financial operations of a retirement community.

Responsabilidades

• Billing Operations: prepare, review, and submit resident billing statements across care levels.
• Insurance Claims Management: file and follow up on Medicare, Medicaid, MCOs, and private insurers.
• Accounts Receivable: monitor and collect on outstanding balances.
• Resident Account Management: maintain updated billing data and adjustments.
• Compliance and Reporting: ensure HIPAA compliance and assist in financial reports/audits as needed.
• Collaboration: work with finance, nursing, and admin to resolve account issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field
