Job summary

The Claiborne Senior Living in Martinez, GA is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to administer medications and support residents in daily living activities in a structured, compassionate setting.

You will follow the Six Rights, document accurately, monitor medication effects, report changes to nursing leadership, and maintain infection control and safety standards while delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active CMA or Medication Technician certification as required by state law.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in senior living, assisted living, or healthcare preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Reliable, focused, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and community policy.
• Follow the Six Rights of medication administration and proper documentation standards.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and side effects.
• Report changes in condition or concerns to nursing leadership.
• Maintain accurate medication records and controlled substance counts.
• Support residents with activities of daily living as needed.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
