Job summary

Claiborne Senior Living in Newnan, GA is seeking Medication Technicians / Certified Medication Aides (Med Techs / CMAs) to safely administer medications and support resident care in our senior living community.

You will follow the Six Rights of medication administration, maintain accurate records, and monitor residents for medication effectiveness while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and dedicated resident care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Active CMA or Medication Technician certification (state requirements apply).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in senior living, assisted living, or healthcare preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Reliable, focused, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and community policy.
• Follow the Six Rights of medication administration and proper documentation standards.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and side effects.
• Report changes in condition or concerns to nursing leadership.
• Maintain accurate medication records and controlled substance counts.
• Support residents with activities of daily living as needed.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
