Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise self-administered meds in the Assisted Living Department, ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations and company guidelines. You will count narcotics, order medications, verify MARs, and maintain proper medication storage and documentation.

Responsibilities include providing personal care, basic nursing tasks, recording vital signs, and assisting residents with daily needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ months of experience in a related role.
• Senior Living experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication for residents in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
• Count and sign narcotics with approved personnel before handling keys; report discrepancies.
• Order medications and treatments to maintain supply of at least 7 days.
• Verify MARs and medications; notify pharmacy or DH&W of discrepancies.
• Provide personal and basic nursing care (bathing, hygiene, vital signs, etc.).
• Document information in daily logs and communicate concerns to supervisor.
• Assist residents with daily needs and respond to requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and restocking of medication carts; weekly deep cleaning.
