Job summary

475 MANAGEMENT is seeking a Medication Technician to safely administer prescribed medications to residents under physician orders and state regulations. You will maintain accurate MAR records, coordinate with pharmacy, and report changes in residents' condition to the Health Services Director.

Responsibilities include preparing medications, logging administration, conducting narcotic counts, and keeping carts and rooms orderly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience passing medications.
• Experience with elderly clients preferred.
• Experience with medications preferred.
• Completed Medication Administration Course with a passing grade.
• Completed all state-required medication training.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Criminal background clearance as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician.
• Track orders for medication changes and/or refills.
• Maintain accurate medication records and MARs.
• Conduct narcotic counts at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Prepare medications for distribution to residents.
• Document administration and report changes or discrepancies.
