Job summary

Oakmont of Pacific Beach is part of Oakmont Management Group, a premier senior living community seeking a Maintenance Technician to preserve the physical plant, exteriors, and resident units in excellent condition. You will support daily operations to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, families, and staff.

Applicants should have basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, plus at least six months in building maintenance.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must operate MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical, plumbing, and HVAC in the community.
• Assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa where applicable.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Promote teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.
