Job summary

MidAtlantic Employers' Association is seeking a Maintenance Tech for Elm Terrace Gardens, a senior living community. This full-time, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm role includes preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections to keep residents safe and comfortable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general repair techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff, ensuring timely resolution.
• Conduct repairs and troubleshooting of appliances, fixtures, and structural elements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory of supplies.
• Assist with safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support the setup and breakdown of community events and activities as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
