Job summary

Shorehaven is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the safety and appearance of our community in Sterling Heights, MI. You will perform general maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and grounds, ensuring resident comfort and safety.

You will respond to maintenance requests, coordinate with contractors, maintain records, and support apartment turnover. The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to lift 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical or HVAC experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Able to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating and cooling systems.
• Repair interior fixtures and furnishings and respond to resident requests.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and monitor service contracts.
• Keep accurate records including equipment serial numbers.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean, hazard-free work areas.
• Assist with apartment turnover and community maintenance tasks.
