Lifespace Communities in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Maintenance team member to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and routine duties that keep our community safe and welcoming for residents.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year in building maintenance or construction, state certifications as needed, and a valid driver’s license. Starting pay is experience-based and commensurate with qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical education preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in building maintenance or construction.
• Certification, license or equivalent as required under state/local regulation to operate/repair equipment.
• A state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance.
• Identify deficiencies and follow procedure for correcting problems.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition; notify supervisors for replacements.
• Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
• Complete work within scheduled time frame, according to budget and priority set by supervisor.
• Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
• Pick up and deliver supplies.
• Operate maintenance equipment including hand/power tools, company vehicles, or snow blowers.
