Job summary

Cedarhurst is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment for residents. You will perform timely maintenance across interiors, exteriors, and common areas, coordinate with vendors, and support a preventative program to protect residents and property.

The role requires basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and strong communication to work with staff, residents’ families, and management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Accredited maintenance training may substitute for experience.
• Applicable state license(s) as required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Basic carpentry, drywall, painting, light plumbing, and preventive maintenance knowledge.
• Proficient with basic computer systems and office software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all areas inside the building to high cleanliness standards and perform routine and deep cleaning.
• Support grounds maintenance and collaborate with vendors for exterior repairs.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs for building and equipment.
• Prepare apartments for move-ins, including patching, painting, and flooring work.
• Maintain safety records and respond to emergencies and environmental concerns.
• Schedule and document preventative maintenance and track work orders.
