Job summary

Oakmont of Las Vegas, a premier senior living community, seeks a Maintenance Director to lead maintenance and housekeeping operations. You will oversee safety, repairs, and preventative upkeep to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The role requires hands-on skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting, plus prior supervisory experience. A high school diploma and background check are mandatory; relocation and growth opportunities are available

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Experience supervising employees preferred.
• Ability to work with seniors and cognitively impaired individuals.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mechanical ability and/or self-teaching to work on equipment (washers, dryers, refrigeration, etc.).
• Electrical duties: troubleshooting, identifying problems, and repairing electrical systems.
• Structural duties: planning/ordering/installing cabinets; carpentry and minor remodeling.
• Painting duties: planning and performing interior/exterior painting; proper disposal of materials.
• Plumbing duties: planning and performing minor plumbing problems (faucets, showers, drains).
• Conduct daily inspection of the property’s outside grounds and address issues to keep the property tour-ready.
