Job summary

Oakmont Management Group manages Oakmont of San Jose, a premier senior living community in California. The Maintenance Director leads maintenance and housekeeping operations to ensure safe, clean, and comfortable living spaces for residents.

The role involves hands-on mechanical work, supervising staff, and compliance with health and safety policies. It supports residents and families with a caring, scalable maintenance program across the campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer 2 years in building maintenance or housekeeping (electrical, plumbing, structural).
• Prefer 1 year of supervising employees.
• Ability to safely operate a wide range of equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care, and comfort working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct general operating maintenance and housekeeping of the community.
• Oversee maintenance and housekeeping departments to keep the property safe, clean and comfortable.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and minor repairs.
• Inspect property daily and correct issues to keep grounds tour-ready.
