Overview

The role of the Senior Living Lifestyle Counselor is responsible for meeting/exceeding sales goals and managing all activities associated with the sales process from initial contact with a prospective resident through closing the sale and move-in. This includes articulating the Otterbein value proposition, managing a large leads database, public speaking, and representing Otterbein at public functions.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop, maintain, and execute a detailed prospect "Sales Plan" for unoccupied residences.
  2. Update and analyze a contact management database to drive sales results.
  3. Build relationships with prospective residents and guide them through the sales funnel.
  4. Answer calls, conduct tours, and participate in lead generation activities.
  5. Communicate financial and admission information to prospects.
  6. Understand prospect needs and coordinate with Environmental Services for residence preparation.
  7. Demonstrate hospitality and address visitor and resident concerns positively.
  8. Collaborate with internal departments to improve living quality.
  9. Assist in marketing and community events, and support external marketing efforts.
  10. Utilize community systems such as PCC, Sherpa, Salesmail, Hubspot.
  11. Achieve sales goals and metrics, including calls, appointments, deposits, and move-ins.
Skills
  • Effective communication with older persons, including those who are ill or emotional.
  • Stay current with sales trends and industry competition.
  • Lead successful sales campaigns for independent living expansion.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Marketing, Business Management, or equivalent sales experience.
  • 5+ years of successful sales or sales management experience, preferably in retirement communities or residential sales.
