Job summary

Better Living in the United States is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to lead purposeful activities that honor each resident’s story and abilities. You will design engaging experiences that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual well-being, while fostering joy and meaningful engagement across the community.

You’ll partner with care teams, families, and staff to create resident-led opportunities, adapt programs to evolving needs, and model a culture of compassion,

Qualifications

• Experience in activities, recreation, or life enrichment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Tech skills and willingness to learn new software.
• Experience in senior living strongly preferred.
• Creative, outgoing and flexible personality.
• Ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead a robust calendar of life-enrichment experiences.
• Design programs supporting physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual well-being.
• Ensure activities are inclusive and adaptable for all abilities.
• Create experiences— not just events— that encourage resident choice and participation.
• Incorporate music, movement, art, games, outings, celebrations, and purpose-driven activities.
• Partner with the care team and other departments to engage families and staff.
• Maintain an accurate activity calendar and documentation as required by standards and regulations.
• Track participation and engagement; manage supplies, budget, and donations.
• Ensure programs meet licensing requirements; attend team meetings.
