Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living, recreation therapy, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in assisted living or skilled nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of gerontology, dementia, physiology, anatomy, or recreation therapy is a plus.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, leadership, and team-building skills.
• Comfortable using computers, including electronic medical records systems.
• Ability to lead activities and actively engage residents.
• Experience facilitating group activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing therapeutic and life enrichment programs.
• Leading holistic activities aligned with a person-centered care philosophy.
• Coordinating and delivering wellness and recreation programs tailored to residents’ needs.
• Providing hands-on involvement during scheduled activities.
• Supporting and supervising volunteers.
• Collaborating with the Activity Director to expand opportunities for emotional, physical, spiritual, social, and intellectual engagement.
