Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring a Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan, organize, and direct individual and group programs for residents. The role focuses on meeting social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs and promoting participation in available programs.

The position requires a high school diploma; experience in teaching or nursing and NCCAP certification are preferred. Strong communication and presentation skills, and flexibility for weekends/holidays are important.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience or education in teaching or nursing is preferred.
• Certification by NCCAP is preferred.
• Excellent communication in English (oral and written).
• Ability to speak effectively before groups.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to a Life Enrichment philosophy respecting residents’ dignity, privacy and independence.
• Leads and oversees daily programs and tracks resident participation.
• Designs creative programs reflecting residents’ needs and interests.
• Plans a monthly calendar with individual and group activities.
• Distributes monthly Life Enrichment schedules for resident reference.
• Acknowledges residents’ birthdays and special accomplishments.
• Manages supplies and oversees the life enrichment budget.
• Ensures programs meet state, federal and other regulations.
