Job summary

Independence-Village in Midland, MI seeks a Life Enrichment Lead to plan and deliver engaging activities for residents of a senior living community. You will serve as the expert for personal programming across the community and support the Life Enrichment Director with strategic direction and daily execution.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends/holidays, and a compassionate approach to senior care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.
• Compassionate towards the senior population.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team.

Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with the overall direction, planning, communication, and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department.
• Supports the Life Enrichment Director with administrative tasks as needed.
• Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety.
• Support in proper setup, clean up, and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces.
• Support transportation by attending outings, coordinating relevant administrative tasks, and upholding safety practices.
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook.
• Provide direction to Life Enrichment support roles (e.g., LEA, Shuttle Drivers) regarding day-to-day activities and responsibilities.
• Support functional responsibilities in absence of Life Enrichment Director as needed.
