Job summary

Independence-Village is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to help plan and carry out engaging activities for residents at our senior living community in Waterford Township, Michigan. The role supports the Life Enrichment Director with program direction, scheduling, and daily operations.

The position emphasizes compassion for seniors, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and flexibility to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Compassionate towards the senior population.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team.

Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with planning, communication, and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department.
• Support the Life Enrichment Director and Lead with administrative tasks as needed.
• Complete all tasks while maintaining a high level of resident safety.
• Support setup, cleanup, and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces.
• Assist transportation by attending outings and coordinating related admin tasks.
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook.
