Job summary

Stonecroft Assisted Living in North Carolina is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to design and run a vibrant calendar of activities for residents. You will ensure programs are person-centered, promote purpose, and foster a warm community.

You’ll work with residents, families, and staff to create meaningful experiences, incorporate memory care activities, and coordinate volunteers and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Certified Activity Director (ADC) or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) is a plus; must obtain within 9 months.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience planning and facilitating activities in a senior living, healthcare, or recreational setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute activities, events, and outings tailored to residents’ interests and needs.
• Incorporate physical, cognitive, social, creative, spiritual, and recreational activities to support holistic well-being.
• Develop monthly activity calendars that are engaging and aligned with residents’ preferences.
• Engage residents and families to build a welcoming, inclusive environment.
• Design memory care activities focusing on cognitive stimulation and memory support.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support programs and activities.
• Organize events and intergenerational activities to create memorable experiences.
