LCS offers a 12-week Senior Living Management internship in Des Moines, IA, working full-time at 40 hours per week from May to August. The role supports the Executive Director and Administrator with community administration and special projects for senior leadership.

Participants gain interview, presentation, and performance evaluation skills to prepare for entering the job market, while experiencing hospitalities and leadership in a senior living setting.

Competenze

• Minimum 1–2 years completed towards bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Major in Healthcare Management, Business, Nursing, Geriatrics, or related program.

Mansioni

• Attend and participate in department head meetings, care plan meetings, and board meetings as requested by the Executive Director.
• Make weekly environmental rounds (plant, kitchen, environmental services).
• Assist Administrator in preparing for yearly fire-safety and resident care survey inspections in Health Center and Assisted Living areas.
• Conduct audits on Health Center documentation (resident charts, MARs, TARs, pain assessments).
• Attend interviews, counseling sessions, trainings and personnel meetings.
• Attend marketing events as requested by the Executive Director.
• Prepare monthly financial variance reports for the Executive Director.
• Complete a variety of projects as prescribed by the Executive Director.
