LCS is offering a Senior Living Management Internship (full-time, 40 hours/week) for 12 weeks from May to August. The Intern assists the Executive Director and Administrator in community administration and handles special projects for Senior Leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years completed towards bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a college or university program majoring in Healthcare Management, Business, Nursing, Geriatrics, or related program.
• Interest in Senior Living operations is ideal.
• Hands-on experience in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in department head meetings, care plan meetings, and daily health center meetings.
• Make weekly environmental rounds (plant, kitchen, environmental services).
• Assist Administrator in preparing for yearly fire-safety and resident care surveys.
• Conduct audits on Health Center documentation (charts, MARs, TARs, pain assessments).
• Attend interviews, trainings and personnel meetings.
• Attend marketing events as requested by the Executive Director.
• Prepare monthly financial variance reports for the Executive Director.
• Complete a variety of projects as prescribed by the Executive Director.
