Job summary

Garden Spot Communities in Akron, PA is seeking a dedicated Laundry Specialist to help maintain clean, comfortable living spaces for residents. This full-time role runs 7:00am–3:00pm with rotating weekend schedules and includes benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) with company match, tuition assistance, and a first-time homebuyer program.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow oral and printed instructions.
• Good physical and mental health, sense of responsibility, and personal hygiene.
• Ability to cooperate with others.

Responsibilities

• Weighs soiled laundry loads.
• Checks and cleans equipment for proper functioning.
• Sorting and washing per program requirements.
• Dries, finishes and folds/hangs linens.
• Linen distribution and labeling with resident names.
• Follows infection control policies and reports equipment issues.
• Attends trainings and works cooperatively with staff.
