Garden Spot Village in New Holland, PA is hiring a Laundry Specialist to support resident comfort and cleanliness. The part-time role runs 7am-3pm every other weekend and includes benefits like health insurance, 401K with company match, and tuition assistance.

• Handles waste disposal per facility policy.
• Reports equipment defects to supervisor.

What You'll Do

• Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential.
• Follows Residents’Rights policies at all times.
• Weighs soiled laundry loads.
• Checks and cleans equipment for proper functioning.
• Sorting and Washing:
  • Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Sorts soiled articles according to type, color, contamination.
  • Removes stains as needed.
  • Washes soiled laundry, entering the correct wash program.
  • Reports equipment defects to the supervisor.
  • Removes PPE and washes hands before leaving soiled linen area.
• Drying and Finishing:
  • Dries wet laundry load.
  • Removes dry linens.
  • Sorts and folds/hang personal clothes.
• Linen Distribution:
  • Loads carts and transports laundry.
• Labeling:
  • Prints and affixes resident name labels to personal garments.
• Follows waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
• Identifies and reports any equipment malfunction to the supervisor.
• Attends department and corporate in-service training programs.
• Handles clean and soiled laundry according to established infection control policies and procedures.
• Distributes clothing to resident rooms in accordance with the theft loss program.
• Changes chemical drums.
• Assumes Quality Assurance duties as assigned.
• Consistently works cooperatively with volunteers, residents, resident representatives, and facility staff.
• Accepts and performs all duties assigned in a cooperative, effective, timely and professional manner.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Information

This position is part-time 7am-3pm every other weekend!
