Job summary

Vicar's Landing in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL is seeking a Launderer I to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents. You will process linens, resident clothing, and other laundry items while upholding quality, infection prevention standards and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, folding, transporting and distributing laundry; maintaining equipment and reporting maintenance or safety concerns; and supporting inventory and departmental duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to safely operate laundry equipment and handle cleaning products.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Process resident laundry, linens, towels, and other items through sorting, washing, drying, folding, pressing, and distribution activities.
• Follow established laundry procedures and infection prevention protocols to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Prepare and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and departmental guidelines.
• Collect, transport, and distribute laundry items throughout the community.
• Maintain laundry equipment, work areas, and storage spaces in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Inspect equipment and promptly report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or safety hazards.
• Follow safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of soiled linens.
• Complete required documentation, service requests, and incident reports accurately and timely.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and treat all residents, guests, and team members with courtesy, dignity, and respect.
• Assist with inventory management, supply stocking, and other departmental duties as assigned.
