Job summary

Oxford Senior Living is seeking a Cook in Broken Arrow, OK, to prepare meals for residents in accordance with the menu and recipes, while ensuring overall kitchen cleanliness and safety. You will work with servers to ensure meals are served properly and residents’ preferences and nutritional needs are met.

• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in a food service setting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience preparing meals for large groups.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to the current menu and recipes to ensure consistency.
• Observe and accommodate resident preferences to ensure satisfaction and nutrition.
• Coordinate with servers to ensure proper presentation and service of meals.
• Record food temperatures at each meal and log them.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and temperatures to meet standards.
• Label, date, and store food and supplies properly.
• Maintain meal service records as required.
• Oversee kitchen operations and assign tasks in the absence of the Dining Services Director.
• Partner with the Dining Services Director to improve the dining experience for residents.
