Job summary

StoryPoint is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents and guests in a communal kitchen environment. You will follow menus, recipes and events, ensuring food safety and presentation.

Requirements include a High School diploma or technical school and at least three years of line cook experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen. • Minimum of three years of line cook experience and/or training.
• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed; perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Maintain freshness, cooking status, and proper seasoning of all foods served.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
