Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food using menus in the food service program.
• Adjust menus to reduce waste and spoilage.
• Monitor refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.
• Ensure proper food storage for infection control.
• Prepare and plate meals.
• Store or discard leftovers properly and take out trash.
• Clean stations and wash dishes and equipment.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist with maintaining kitchen equipment.
• Operate kitchen appliances such as dishwasher, microwave, ice machine, etc.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
