Job summary

WellQuest is hiring a Cook for WellQuest of Menifee Lakes in Menifee, CA. The Cook will prepare meals according to approved menus and standards, serving residents and staff with quality, flavor and safety in mind.

Under the direction of the Culinary Services Director, you will maintain kitchen cleanliness, manage food storage, assist with inventory, and ensure strict adherence to health regulations and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

• English literacy required (read, write, speak).
• At least 6 months of food preparation experience.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to follow approved recipes and menus.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Must pass health screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals per planned menus, ensuring high quality.
• Inspect diet orders to serve correct meals.
• Assist substitutions and menu changes under direction.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen and proper food storage.
• Assist in inventory and kitchen duties as needed.
• Open/close kitchen as scheduled and monitor temperatures.
• Support resident interaction and positive service.
