Job summary

Sagewynn of Sarasota is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to support daily housekeeping operations in a multi-shift, onsite environment. You will work under the Executive Director and Director of Housekeeping to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable community for residents.

The role requires adhering to infection control, following cleaning schedules, coordinating with nursing staff, and maintaining supplies.

Qualifications

• Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Deal tactfully with personnel, prospects, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping functions and tasks as assigned and follow established safety precautions and infection control procedures.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Ensure that work areas are maintained clean, safe, and attractive, and that supplies are stocked in utility/janitorial closets.
• Dispose of personal protective equipment according to sanitation procedures.
• Assist others in lifting heavy equipment and supplies as directed or requested.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, and surfaces in resident rooms and common areas daily.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures and remove water marks.
• Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entry/exit ways.
