Job summary

HEARTHSTONE is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper (Maintenance) to keep public areas, resident rooms, and facilities clean and orderly throughout the day. The role requires attention to safety, efficiency, and a positive customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities include cleaning lobby areas, restrooms, floors, and equipment, as well as maintaining carts and reporting supply needs. Previous long-term care experience is preferred, and English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a long-term care facility preferred.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
• Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, towel dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Follow safety measures when cleaning and keep supplies out of reach of residents.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
• Notify Director of Housekeeping/Administrator/Director of Nursing regarding resident safety issues.
• Notify Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.
• Excellent customer skills and positive attitude.
