Job summary

Covenant Living & CovenantCare Home Health and Hospice seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to provide campus cleaning and light maintenance, ensuring facilities meet standards for residents and staff. The role covers indoor/outdoor cleaning, linen handling, and assisting with transfers as needed.

The ideal candidate has basic education, housekeeping experience, and strong English communication. Weekend availability may be required. Competitive hourly pay features insurance and benefits packages.

Qualifications

• Some high school education.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, with residents and staff.
• Dependability and common sense, and the ability to organize daily cleaning schedule to finish each day’s assignment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and infection control guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance including light bulbs, plunge toilets and change batteries as needed.
• Follow established schedule to perform cleaning tasks inside and outside.
• Maintain floors with sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, and more as scheduled.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills and project cleaning (walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, windows, etc.).
• Move furniture as needed and assist in resident moves at transfer/discharge.
• Participate in campus linen program and bed making in guest rooms or residences as needed.
• Observe and report repairs needed to facilities, furniture, fixtures, etc.
• Receive campus supplies and participate in snow and ice salting as needed.
