Job summary

Edgewood Summit is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to maintain clean living spaces and provide pressed laundry for residents. You will follow a daily schedule, operate cleaning and laundry equipment, and perform duties under the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Ability to lift 50-70 lbs, pass background checks, and work with a flexible, rotating weekend schedule is required. Reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork are highly valued in this role.

Qualifications

• High School education desirable.
• Physically healthy and able to lift 50-70 lbs.
• Must pass criminal background and abuse registry check as required by state law.
• Ability to cooperate with co-workers.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and rotating weekend schedule.

Responsibilities

• Follows daily assignment schedule from the Supervisor.
• Cleans assigned areas according to established procedures.
• Reports observations of wear, defects, or malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Reports supply and equipment needs to supervisor.
• Maintains and cleans equipment after use.
• Performs laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and storing resident laundry.
• Sorts laundry by color and fabric, checks labels for care instructions.
• Marks resident laundry and tracks laundry for each resident.
• Operates laundry equipment and purchases supplies with supervisor approval.
