Job summary

Atria Senior Living’s Simi Hills community is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain resident apartments and common areas in a clean, safe, and courteous manner.

You will perform housekeeping tasks from vacuuming and dusting to laundry, refrigerator defrosting, linen management, and general sanitation, while also greeting residents and assisting with meal service as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time).
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community interior and residents' apartments in a clean, sanitary condition.
• Perform housekeeping for common areas, dining room, hallways and entryways.
• Clean and defrost refrigerators, check heat system filters, change linens, and manage laundry.
• Follow sanitation and safety procedures as outlined by the company.
• Greet residents and guests, take orders, serve meals, and clear tables.
• Complete side work and assist with storage of perishable items as needed.
