Job summary

Monarch Communities seeks a part-time Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness of resident apartments and common areas, reporting to the Maintenance Director in a senior living community.

The role is non-exempt, hourly, with a rate of $16.00 per hour and a schedule of less than 30 hours per week (at least 22.5). Responsibilities include cleaning, safety, and regular training, with adherence to OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience is required or preferred depending on site.
• Must be dependable and responsible with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide housekeeping services in resident apartments by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, and laundering linens.
• Ensure common areas are kept clean and sanitized as assigned.
• Handle and store all cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Maintain housekeeping storage areas clean and organized.
• Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Director.
• Ensure safety issues are reported immediately (e.g., broken glass, leaks, broken locks).
• Participate in in-service training as scheduled.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and community policies.
