Job summary

The Housekeeper at MBK Senior Living will meticulously clean residents' apartments, public areas, and workspaces, following community guidelines and safety procedures. You will uphold a high standard of cleanliness while delivering friendly, resident-focused service and reporting needs to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning in a similar role, preferred; on the job training is available for candidates with the right attitude and desire.
• Must be age 18 or over.
• Must complete required Background clearances, health screening and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English, as well as follow written and spoken directions.
• Must possess the ability to always deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, and guests.
• Must present a positive and professional image.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Cleaning & Upkeep: Perform a full range of housekeeping duties, including cleaning and sanitizing resident apartments, common areas, and offices to a high standard.
• Dust, fluff, and straighten furniture in internal and external public areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Follow established work and cleaning schedules as closely as practical.
• Hazard Mitigation & Waste Management: Post safety signs and remove trash to designated cans/areas during shift.
• Safety Protocols & Supply Management: Use PPE and store chemicals securely, follow SDS guidelines.
• Operational Readiness and Workspace Management: Keep work areas tidy and hazard-free.
• Resident Service & Professional Image: Greet residents warmly and respond to simple requests.
• Perform laundry services for residents as scheduled.
