Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services Community in San Angelo, TX is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe living spaces for residents. This onsite, full-time role combines housekeeping, custodial and laundry tasks to support daily resident comfort and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will follow Buckner policies, work well in a team, and provide courteous service while handling cleaning equipment, supplies, and linen management with attention to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) so as to have the knowledge to follow basic instructions.
• Age 21 with a valid driver's license and clean driving record so you can be insured on the Buckner insurance.
• Self-motivation to guide daily work with only moderate supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to use tact and courtesy in interactions with coworkers, residents and their families.
• Preferred qualifications include housekeeping/laundry experience and building strong coworker relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a courteous manner and provide excellent customer service, greeting residents and visitors with respect.
• Clean and service rooms, baths, and offices; dust furniture and equipment; clean windows and fixtures; empty trash; replenish soap and towels; maintain dispensers.
• Clean, mop, floors; strip, wax, buff floors; vacuum carpet; shampoo carpet as directed.
• Move furniture safely; report equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Assist dietary unit with setup, cleanup, and spill policing during meals.
• Sort dirty laundry, fold and dry clean linen, and manage linen closets.
