Job summary

Merrill Gardens is seeking a Senior Living Sales Director (Community Relations Director) in Portland, OR. This role leads community relations, drives occupancy, and collaborates with the GM, BOD, and marketing to optimize census data and lead generation.

The position emphasizes building referral networks, executing strategic sales plans, and coordinating with the Activities Director and Executive Chef for resident-focused events.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations or Communications preferred.
• Three-plus years sales and marketing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Achieves and maintains a high occupancy percentage.
• Maintains the sales tracking system and informs GM of trends.
• Works with GM and BOD to ensure accurate census reporting in CRM/accounting systems (Yardi).
• Manages the full sales process from inquiries to tours and deposits.
• Assists in transitioning move-ins and coordinating with leadership for smooth onboarding.
• Develops and implements innovative sales/marketing plans.
• Builds community outreach and relationships with referral sources to generate leads.
