Job summary

Merrill Gardens is seeking a Group Fitness Instructor to plan and lead group fitness classes for older adults, including aquatic programs where applicable.

You will promote classes, foster a safe and inclusive environment, respond to resident needs with empathy, and support community wellness goals, with opportunities for advancement within a growing company.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Group Fitness Certification (ACE or equivalent) within 3 months of hire.
  • 2+ years of experience, preferably with older adults.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of injury prevention, emergency procedures, and group fitness best practices.

Group Fitness Instructor

Murano is currently searching for a Group Fitness Instructor who is familiar with group fitness program development, planning and instruction of group fitness classes/activities including aquatic group fitness classes.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
