Job summary

Enriched Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform maintenance and repairs of buildings and grounds, and to oversee contractor work as needed. The role includes preventive maintenance and ensuring a safe, attractive community.

Responsibilities span painting, grounds upkeep, cleaning, and inspecting HVAC/plumbing systems. You will assist residents with move-ins/outs, drive the community vehicle when required, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing certifications are preferred.
• Valid state driver's license is required or obtainable.
• Experience in building maintenance and safety compliance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Paint and repair masonry, woodwork, furnishings or supervise contractors.
• Maintain grounds: mow, trim hedges, weed removal and debris control.
• Clean and upkeep buildings: buff, sweep, mop, vacuum, carpet clean, windows.
• Inspect and service HVAC, plumbing, and environmental systems or supervise contractors.
• Move furniture, unload supplies, and assist other departments as needed.
• Complete work orders within 24 hours; manage budgeted expenses.
• Assist residents during move-ins/outs; ensure safety of electrical appliances.
• Drive community vehicle for resident transport and community needs.
• Follow all state and federal regulations; complete compliance training.
