Job summary

Provincial Senior Living seeks a Facility Operations Assistant to keep our Midland community safe and welcoming for residents, visitors, and team members. You will handle routine maintenance, cleaning and basic repairs across grounds, buildings, and resident spaces.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or GED, plus some maintenance or housekeeping experience and a practical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical school education preferred.
• 1 year maintenance/housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical or mechanical systems.
• Understand OSHA, fire safety, and life-safety regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean environment for residents, guests and staff.
• Perform routine maintenance requests on grounds, buildings, equipment and vehicles.
• Repair walls/floor coverings, furniture/fixtures, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Assist the preventative maintenance program.
• Work on HVAC, water systems, pumps, refrigeration, motors, and generators.
• Perform carpet and hard surface floor maintenance.
• Deep clean resident suites and prepare rooms as assigned.
• Assist with Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures.
