Qualifications

• Training course approved by the Department of Education.
• Course completed prior to July 1, 1994.
• Registered Occupational Therapist (OT) or OT Assistant.
• Qualified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist.
• Excellent communication with residents and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute activities for residents' social, recreational and spiritual needs.
• Assess residents’ interests and maintain activity records.
• Attend IDT meetings to develop and revise care plans and write progress notes quarterly.
• Ensure activities are accessible for residents with varying abilities.
• Coordinate with staff and volunteers to support programs.
• May perform other duties as directed by Administrator.
