Job summary

Thunderbird Senior Living in Glendale, AZ is seeking a reliable Driver to transport residents to medical appointments and off-site activities, ensuring safety and courtesy.

You will assist residents with wheelchairs and mobility devices, plan routes, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and logs. A positive attitude and good English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Experience with transporting seniors preferred.
• Ability to plan and communicate in English.
• Desire to serve others with a positive attitude.
• Clean background and drug-free lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport senior residents to doctors appointments and other places in a timely and disciplined manner.
• Load and unload wheelchairs and walkers from vehicle(s). Help residents into a minivan, SUV or non-CDL bus with a lift system for mobility devices and assist them to appointments.
• Plan and research driving routes for scenic drives; narrate during the drive and share historical facts.
• Carry out pre-trip vehicle inspections; keep vehicles clean; maintain drivers logbook; comply with traffic laws and safety requirements.
• Assist in facilitation of other activities as directed by the Resident Services Director.
