Job summary

Milestone is seeking a Dishwasher to ensure dishes and utensils are cleaned, sanitized, and stored while supporting a smooth dining service. You’ll contribute to a safe, clean kitchen and dining environment under the Dining Room Manager or Director, Culinary Services.

You will help maintain a positive resident experience, transport and police dishes, and assist with serving as needed. The role requires 18+ and a health screening; weekend/holiday shifts are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Health screening and TB clearance required.
• Fingerprinting and criminal background check required.
• First Aid certification required.
• Compassion for and desire to work with older adults.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions, plan and organize tasks.
• Self-motivated with strong customer service work ethic.
• Pleasant, professional, and personable with excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive customer service culture in the dining room.
• Transport dishes to the kitchen and maintain a clean dining area.
• Clear, wash, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and tabletop items.
• Return dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
• Ensure safe work practices for yourself and coworkers; comply with Safety Committee Standards.
• Complete sanitation and cleanup tasks for dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, sinks, and drains.
• Empty trash and follow daily cleaning schedules.
• Assist with serving residents in the dining room as needed.
• Schedule includes weekends and rotating holidays.
• Display friendliness and professionalism when interacting with residents, families, and visitors.
• Provide support during community tours and events.
• Follow dress code and maintain a positive professional image.
• Report elder maltreatment or abuse as required to appropriate management and authorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Culinary Services
