Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Front of House Supervisor-Culinary at our Honolulu community. You will oversee dining room service, supervise staff, and ensure resident satisfaction in all dining areas.

The role requires leadership, experience in food service or management, and ability to coordinate with residents and team members. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, meals, and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in food service/management preferred.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience in a restaurant or similar environment.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience supervising employees.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care.
• Able to work with seniors and interact with cognitively impaired individuals.
• Able to obtain and maintain first aid certification.
• Able to obtain and maintain Food Handler’s certification, as needed.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including COVID-19 PCR) within 72 hours of start date.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dining service to ensure resident enjoyment and consistent service.
• Assist residents and servers with meal service (salads, soup, entrees, beverages, desserts).
• Ensure dining room POS system operates efficiently; troubleshoot and train staff.
• Ensure proper serving etiquette and table manners.
• Supervise cleaning and side work in dining room and kitchen; assign tasks.
• Chart and assign dining room sections for wait staff.
• Ensure proper dining room setup and restock utensils and beverages.
• Bus tables, clear dishes, clean areas after meals; reset tables as needed.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment.
• Participate in resident orientation and assist during transitions to meals.
• Assist with planning food items for Activities, Marketing, and Special Events.
