Job summary

Brazos Towers at Bayou Manor in Houston, TX is seeking a Dining Services Supervisor to support the Dining Services Manager and lead Dietary Aides and other staff. You will ensure meals are prepared on schedule, served attractively, and safety and sanitation standards are followed.

You will also fill in as host, server, expediter, or other dining-related roles when needed, coordinate events, and help manage inventories to ensure smooth daily operations for residents.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Previous food service, dining services, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, meal service, and proper handling practices.
• Must possess a current Food Handler Certification or obtain certification within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Dining Services Manager with supervision and direction of staff.
• Ensure resident meals are prepared and served according to meal schedules.
• Ensure meal trays are accurate, presented, and appetizing prior to service.
• Fill in as a host, server, expediter, or other dining related position when needed.
• Maintain sanitation standards and opening/closing procedures.
• Conduct daily audits of areas for cleanliness, labeling, dating, and stocking.
• Assist with events, dinners, and departmental activities.
• Coordinate staff coverage to meet operational needs.
• Provide meal service and other dining duties during staff shortages.
• Report equipment issues and maintenance concerns promptly.
