The Virginian by Cogir is seeking a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our senior residents. Provide friendly, professional service during meals and events, ensuring dietary needs are met while fostering a welcoming dining atmosphere.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• A Food Handler Card with an understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes is a plus.
• Experience in serving or hospitality is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly, creating a positive dining atmosphere.
• Take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly.
• Ensure meals meet dietary requirements and preferences, including portions and requests.
• Serve meals with a smile and maintain a welcoming dining environment.
• Set tables with linens, utensils, and glassware before each meal.
• Clear tables after meals and keep dining areas clean and organized.
• Reset tables for the next meal service.
• Communicate resident feedback to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with health department regulations and Cogir standards.
