Job summary

Homewood Retirement Centers seeks a friendly restaurant server to deliver meals to residents and guests in a professional dining room setting. Experience in food service is preferred but not required, and training will be provided to ensure high-quality service.

Responsibilities include setting tables, delivering trays, assisting with meal service, and maintaining a clean dining area while treating residents with kindness and respect. This role supports a warm, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• High degree of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ability to push tray carts and lift/carry up to 25 pounds during an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift.
• Must treat residents and the public with kindness and respect in a cheerful manner.
• Ability to use the point of sale system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to residents and guests in a professional manner.
• Ensure high-quality dining experience in a restaurant-style setting.
• Set tables with linens, utensils, condiments, and decorations.
• Serve food on trays and/or tables with attractive presentation.
• Wait on tables using proper serving etiquette.
• Create a positive restaurant-style environment for residents and guests.
• Assist with meal preparation as needed.
• Deliver tray carts and nourishment to nursing areas/floors.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and work areas.
