Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Server in Darien, CT. The role supports delivering an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests, assisting with setup, service, and post-service cleanup.

The server should be comfortable with the daily menu, engage residents, and work closely with kitchen staff and the Culinary Services Director to ensure quality service. High school diploma or equivalent and prior senior-care exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors.
• Experience working in assisted living or another long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides outstanding customer experience for residents and their loved ones, as well as other visitors to the community.
• Assures residents are comfortable, engaged, and catered to in the dining room.
• Performs all assignments prior to the dining room opening.
• Assists with meal service under supervision of the Chef, Dining Room Manager, and/or Culinary Services Director.
• Understands the daily menu and can answer questions related to the menu.
• Assures snack areas are stocked and tidy.
• Keeps dining rooms clean and properly arranged for residents.
• Performs assignments after dining room closes and prepares for next meal.
• Engages with tours and sales team to offer a strong first impression.
• Develops good rapport with teammates across departments.
