Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years in food service with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Current ServSafe certificate required or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of culinary service environment, kitchen equipment, and buffet catering.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and supervise staff directly when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees dining services for residents in the dining room and function rooms, assisting where needed.
• Ensures dining room is clean, prepared, and staffed per Wingate standards before each meal.
• Greets, seats, and assists residents during meal service.
• Maintains service order for meals, including pre-bussing and wine service.
• Monitors dining room inventory and coordinates replenishment with management.
• Communicates with kitchen to ensure timely trays and submits meal revenue.
• Assists Culinary Services Director with operations, events, and menu presentation.
• Conducts orientation and ongoing training for dining room staff; supervises closing.
